I absolutely second that - classic Nordschleife with the old start/finish line and pit area, no barriers/fences, and generally bumpier/jumpier track here and there.that would be the greatest thing ever. After hystoric Spa and the beautiful remaked Hystoric LeMans it would be a blast to have Nürburgring from 1967 like in this video. Saw this Documentaryvideo on youtube with the 1967 version of the Nürburgring.
Some of the results are very surprising to me.Of course the list is not entirely accurate, I must have definitely missed a few "votes", but in general the order should be pretty reliable.Īs a huge IMSA fan I would pay a stupid amount for the top 5 tracks +#7 as it would almost complete the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar track list. There are actually some good onboards in the race report on YouTubeĪny one really that is from the 60s-80s I don't mind.įor long now I had been wondering which tracks have been suggested the most, and today I got to count them! Don't ask how, but here's the top-40 list of tracks suggested in this thread, since the release day of PCARS2 (September 22, 2017). You could then recreate the Willhire 24 Hour (or the 25 as was held in 1989)

Given a choice, I'd go with the mid 80's short layout plus the long layout (it was still there then, just used for the Sunday market). they opened it up a bit in subsequent years (if you find an aerial shot of the pre 2010, the green runoff at the chicane was the original road layout. The short circuit was altered in 1989/90 closed season and they made Russell chicane into a horrible tight little thing that pissed off most of the locals (me included) as it was way too slow and tight. the layout changed a few times, the original long circuit had the Russell chicane added in the 60s, they stopped using the long circuit in the late 70s (may have been the very early 80s, I certainly remember that Phil Read complained about the amount of dust up at the hairpin at the end of the Norwich straight and that was probably the last time it was used specifically for a motorcycle race). Historic Snetterton and the 2010 Snetterton layout.ĭefine historic.
Monza: Junior Course (and oval in other direction)
The other Historic Circuits too can offer multiple iterations tooĪlso a more likely and probably worthwhile suggestion is to add the other layouts from the same year(s) of circuits we have Or the later 1987-90 circuit for Group C and 1997-2002 for GT1 and LMP900 If we had the previous 52-74 layout without the chicane we'd have the correct track for all the Vintage GTs and Prototypes and the Vintage F1 C and D classes too I say this as someone who likes to match the historic cars with the period correct circuitsįor example the Historic Silverstone layout we have was in use from 1975-1986: the only race cars we have from this preriod are Group 5, Group 4, Group 6 and the Lotus 78 (and 98T but the 1986 British GP was at Brands Hatch) As much as it is unlikely and probably not the most popular use of resources I would like to see multiple iterations of historic circuits.
